About
Katharine is a Dorset based actor and writer with a love for performing comedy.
Theatre credits include GLUCK'S FLOWERS (Theatre West) a queer love story about a real slice of history, DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE (MAST Mayflower Studios) for very young audiences, with puppetry, multi-rolling and singing. AFTER THE DANCE (National Theatre) as part of the ensemble in Thea Sharrock's production. THE BUS (Above The Stag Theatre), a coming of age LGBTQ drama, and Christmas family comedy drama A FLAT FULL OF CHANDELIERS (Hen & Chickens Theatre).
Katharine has performed in numerous plays in Midwest America with Broom Street Theatre and The Mercury Players, including the role of Dottie Smith in KILLER JOE and in new writing productions at The Southwark Playhouse, The King’s Head and The Vaults in London.

Screen work includes playing Elizabeth I in the Channel 4 documentary THE QUEENS THAT CHANGED THE WORLD, TV mini-series SUPER UNIT and numerous commercials.

Katharine also enjoys writing dynamic roles for women over forty.
Her first one act play BOOK CLUB was selected by The Space Theatre as part of ScriptSpace, funded by Arts Council England for playwrights developing early drafts. Extracts of the play have been performed at Lighthouse Poole and at The Scripts' The Thing!
Two of her monologues were selected by Directors Cut Theatre (The Leicester Square Theatre) as part of a monologue slam. Her monologue MONTY’S NOT AN ALIEN was selected by M6 Theatre Company in Rochdale for LOVE IN THE TIME OF CORONA.
